Project summary
The main objective of the technical assistance was to obtain an assessment study of flood risks in the District of Bamako (DoB) and identify, in a participatory way, potential measures and infrastructure investments that would inform a dialog between the World Bank and the Government of Mali. This work was expected to provide a framework for supporting urban and flood disaster and climate resilience measures. It aimed at the production of a well-balanced set of structural and non-structural flood risk management options for the city of Bamako and its water basins.
